Welcome to Hessen Newcomer’s Event Big Success
Wonderful Day for Welcome to Hessen Newcomer’s Festival 
Absolutely wonderful autumn weather and the magnificent, historical buildings of the Kurhaus in Wiesbaden, with its elegant parkland and lake, provided the backdrop for this Newcomer’s Festival on Sunday 14 September 2003.
| The organisers of this big event, principally the State of Hessen and the City of Frankfurt with IM2S / WOW as leading co-organisers, welcomed thousands of newcomers in the Rhine-Main region on this one Sunday afternoon. Staged for the third time in succession, this family-oriented festival has now become an eagerly-awaited annual happening |

In true Frankfurt tradition, IM2S and WOW provided absolutely fresh apple juice as refreshment to the long line-up of visitors, pressed before their eyes from more than 100 kg of perfect apples. IM2S and WOW also organised fun, games and entertainment, including a friendly clown on stilts for the young visitors.

This was the chance for a family Sunday outing with a difference – to gather lots of information about “what’s on, what’s where” in the Rhine-Main region with the aim of being able to feel right at home very quickly. International clubs and associations - both social and business - church communities, educational services, many varied service providers and numerous departments of the City of Frankfurt (culture, museums, theatres, tourism, etc.) as well as the information offices of smaller towns throughout Hessen, some 120 stands in total, all extended a warm welcome to the newcomers.
