Outdoor activities - FIS Fun Run
IM2S sponsored the FIS Fun Run Day on May 1, 2003

In spite of overcast skies and a chilly wind, numerous participants joined in the fun of this family-oriented event and ran (or walked with little ones in strollers) the 5 km or alternatively 10 km course through the nearby forest.
And IM2S had a special treat in store at the finishing line – more than 80 kg of absolutely fresh Granny Smith apples were pressed and served to a long line of thirsty runners!

This was a sporting event with a healthy, friendly and family-oriented atmosphere held on May 1, a traditional public holiday in Germany. In spite of really doubtful weather, many people of all ages took part not only in the challenge, but also the fun of this outdoor get-together.
The 5 km or alternatively 10 km varied course traced its way over the lovely undulating forest paths extending behind the Frankfurt International School in Oberursel. There were even a number of families with little ones in strollers who walked part of the stretch. The whole event was very relaxed but, at the same time, really efficiently organized. Anyone wanting to challenge his personal best on the route could check precise times at the finishing line.
 As the main sponsor of the Fun Run Day, IM2S donated colorfully printed T-shirts, the logo for which was designed by students of the Frankfurt International School. A nice souvenir to take home.
And what’s more, IM2S had a real surprise waiting at the finishing line for very thirsty runners – absolutely freshly-made pure juice made from more than 80 kg of the best quality Granny Smith apples. It was quite an effort to keep up the pace of pressing all those apples, even with professional equipment!
On the other hand, it was a pleasure and in the spirit of IM2S’s dedication to helping the expatriate community, especially in the Rhine-Main area, to integrate quickly and easily into new surroundings and contributing toward making their assignments into a positive, memorable experience.

One of the biggest social events on the FIS calendar every year is the Worldfest - a fun happening for the whole family, with games, entertainment, arts and crafts, and booths representing different countries.
One of the main attractions was a Jumping Castle for the little ones which was sponsored by IM2S.
